Innovative Construction

Each Fuse cutout features:

  • Durable insulating base with fixed contacts

  • Fuse tube assembly combining:

    • Inner arc-quenching tube (gas-generating material)

    • Outer protective sleeve (bakelite or epoxy-glass composite)

  • Spring-assisted mechanisms in load-break models

Advanced Protection Mechanism

  1. Normal Operation:

    • Fuse tube remains closed via tension from the fuse link

    • Continuous current flows through fixed and moving contacts

  2. Fault Conditions:

    • Overcurrent melts fuse link, initiating arc

    • Arc-quenching tube generates high-pressure gas to extinguish arc vertically

    • Mechanical release allows fuse tube to drop, creating visible isolation

  3. Load-Break Functionality:

    • Insulating link manually operates contacts

    • Auxiliary switches create controlled arc in quenching chamber

    • Narrow gas channels ensure rapid arc extinction at current zero
